After 20 years in Charleston's luxury real estate market, it's exciting to see The Cassina Group continue to grow. 2026 has been a record-breaking year for the firm, with more than $733 million in sales volume through September 22, a 56.8% increase over the same period last year.
A significant part of that growth has come from the Charleston peninsula. So far this year, we've completed 76 transactions downtown, representing nearly 15% of the peninsula's total sales volume and the highest market share of any firm. Our peninsula sales volume is also up more than 172% from 2025.
Much of this growth comes from relationships we've built over the past two decades. We're seeing clients we've previously worked with on Sullivan's Island and in Old Village now looking to downtown Charleston as their lifestyles and priorities evolve. We're also seeing continued interest from out-of-town buyers drawn to the peninsula's history, architecture, parks, restaurants and unique sense of place.
Downtown real estate requires a particular level of local knowledge. Historic preservation requirements, renovations, insurance and easements can all play an important role in a transaction. Our team's experience with these properties and the nuances of the Charleston peninsula allows us to help both buyers and sellers navigate those challenges.
Some of the notable historic properties The Cassina Group has represented this year include 172 Tradd Street, 43 Meeting Street and 110 Beaufain Street. The firm also represented both the buyer and seller of 101 S. Battery Street, which sold for $7.8 million in September.
While downtown has been a major area of growth, The Cassina Group continues to be active throughout the Charleston market. The firm ranks number one in sales volume on Sullivan's Island, with more than $68 million in sales, and has recorded more than $57 million on Isle of Palms in 2026.
Our team has grown as well, with four new full-time agents joining since June, bringing the firm to 59 full-time agents.
After 20 years, I'm proud of the relationships, expertise and team we've built at The Cassina Group. Whether we're helping someone find a historic property downtown or buy or sell a home along the coast, our focus remains the same: providing the local knowledge and personal service our clients have come to expect.
