I want to share some news that means a great deal to our team. Twelve REALTORS® from The Cassina Group have been named to the RealTrends Verified list of top agents, an honor that recognizes the top 1.5% of real estate professionals across the country. The ranking is based on overall sales volume for 2023.
The individuals recognized
Robertson Allen, Charles Baarcke, Ashley Graham, Tim Schneider, Phil Sykes, and I were all named individually to the RealTrends Verified list.
Team Spartina at The Cassina Group, led by Margaret Todd Truluck, was named as one of the top medium teams in South Carolina. Team Spartina also includes Austin Garland, Cliff Smith, Dede Kennedy, Kara Stringer, and Matt Petitte.
In addition, Robertson Allen was named to The Thousand, which recognizes the top 500 agents in the country, and was ranked the #1 individual agent in all of South Carolina for his 2023 production. That is an extraordinary accomplishment, and one I am proud to celebrate alongside him.
What recognitions like this actually mean
I will be honest: I think most clients reasonably wonder how much these rankings really matter. Here is the most useful way I’ve come to think about it.
What national volume rankings genuinely tell you is whether a Realtor has been doing the work consistently, year after year, in their market. They do not tell you whether someone will be the right fit for your particular search or sale. The volume number is a floor, not a guarantee. It says this person has handled a meaningful number of transactions, has built infrastructure to support that volume, and is taken seriously by their peers and their clients.
What national rankings cannot tell you is whether the Realtor will return your call quickly, whether they will be honest with you about your home’s condition, whether they will respect your timeline, whether they will be the right human for a stressful or emotional transaction. Those judgments come from a conversation, not a list.
Why this list, in particular
RealTrends Verified is one of the more rigorous lists in the industry because the data is independently verified rather than self-reported. When a Realtor appears on it, the volume actually happened. That matters, especially in a market where credentials sometimes get overstated.
For our firm, having twelve people on the list at the same time tells a more interesting story than any single recognition would. It says the model we built, where Realtors collaborate rather than compete internally, is producing strong outcomes across the team. That is the part I am most proud of.
The right next step
If you are considering a move or a sale and want to talk to one of our team about your specific situation, I’m glad to make an introduction. Recognition lists are a useful starting filter, but the right Realtor for you is the one whose approach actually fits the work in front of you.
